Client: Soundlands
Soundlands invited USA sound artist Annea Lockwood to re-create her seminal 70’s works Piano Transplants.
As part of Bangor Sound City, Lockwood performed first a Piano Burning in Bangor with live improvisation by guest artists Xenia Pestova, Ed Wright and Sarah Westwood. This was followed by a Piano Garden in Gwydir Forest, Conwy (which continues).
A collaboration with Harwich Festival of the Arts, who programmed a version of Lockwood’s third transplant, Piano Drowning, enabled a live video link-up to stage all three works simultaneously.
